Salem State's Matt Hauntsman and Framingham State's Gustav Hemmingsen claim the first MASCAC Men's Soccer Player and Rookie of the Week honors after leading their respective teams to wins their opening week.

Hauntsman made 20 saves for the Vikings with a .952 save percentage and 0.50 GAA in a 2-0 week, including 15 in a 1-0 shutout over Wheaton College and also stopped five shots in a 3-1 victory over Lasell College. |

Hemmingsen registered two goals and two assists in a 1-0-1 week for the Rams. Scored twice in his first collegiate action in a 5-5 draw at UMass Dartmouth and added two assists in the 4-2 win over University of St. Joseph’s (Conn). |
