Starting on Tuesday, November 1, #3 Worcester State hosts #6 MCLA at 1 pm while #4 Bridgewater State entertains #5 Westfield State at 7 pm. In the semifinal round, top seed Framingham State will face the winner of Bridgewater State/Westfield on Friday, November 4 at 6 pm while #2 Salem State will play the winner of Worcester State/MCLA at 7 pm.
The semifinal winners will then face off on Sunday, November 6 in the MASCAC Men's Soccer Tournament Championship game at a time to be determined.
The Rams earned the top spot and a first round bye after going undefeated in the MASCAC. Bryce Nardizzi currently leads the conference in points, goals and assists with 36, 14 and eight, respectively. He's netted three game-winning goals and went 2-for-2 on penalty kicks.
Earning the second first round bye with the second seed is Salem State. The Vikings were 5-1-1 at the end of the conference slate. Brendan Davis has found the back of the net 10 times to tally 21 points. Five times this season he netted the golden goal, including three in conference action.
Worcester State has the third seed after finishing with a 4-0-3 mark during the league play. Splitting time in goal, Dylan Ruberti and Andy Ramirez are one and two in several MASCAC categories, including goals against (4 and 10), GAA (0.56 and 1.18) and save percentage (.907 and .825).
Getting the chance to host a quarterfinal game with the fourth seed is Bridgewater State. The Bears were 4-2-1 to close out MASCAC action. David Nelson leads the team with seven goals and an assist for 15 points. He has led the Bears to wins with two game-winning goals this season.
Rounding out the tournament field is Westfield State and MCLA with the fifth and sixth seed, respectively. The Owls and Trailblazers tied at 2-4-1 with Westfield State taking the tiebreaker for the higher seed. In his first year with the team, Carter Hebert has netted eight goals and three assists for 19 points. His goals and points are top three and four in the MASCAC, respectively. For the Trailblazers, goalie Sam Edge is in the top five of the league in GAA (1.37) and saves (71) while tallying four wins and five shutouts on the year.
During the 2021 MASCAC Men's Soccer Tournament title game, top seed Salem State defeated Framingham State 4-2 to win the crown and a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
