Framingham State’s Nardizzi, Salem State’s Filetti Named 2019 MASCAC Men’s Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year, Headline 2019 MASCAC Men’s Soccer All-Conference Team
For the second straight season, Framingham State’s Bryce Nardizzi has been named MASCAC Offensive Player of the Year while Salem State’s Patrick Filetti was voted Defensive Player of the Year. The duo headlines the 2019 All-Conference Team as voted on by the coaches from around the league.

Westfield, Mass. — For the second straight season, Framingham State’s Bryce Nardizzi has been named MASCAC Offensive Player of the Year while Salem State’s Patrick Filetti was voted Defensive Player of the Year. The duo headlines the 2019 All-Conference Team as voted on by the coaches from around the league.
Nardizzi, a junior from Framingham, Mass. led the Rams to a share of the MASCAC Regular Season title and the top seed in last week’s tournament. He finished the year atop the conference leaderboard in points (25) and assists (seven) while tallying the second-most goals (nine) with three game-winners. During two games this season against Massachusetts Maritime and Dean, he collected two goals in the Rams’ victory.
For Salem State, Filetti helped the Vikings earn the other share of the MASCAC Regular Season crown and number two seed in the tournament. The sophomore from Newburyport, Mass., helped the team end the season with a 1.41 goals against average, .071 shooting percentage with eight shutouts this season.
Alexander Loyd of Fitchburg State is the 2019 MASCAC Rookie of the Year after leading the conference in goals with 11 while assisting on two for 24 points. He also netted five game-winning goals during the season. His best outings of the season were wins over Gordon and MCLA where the freshman from Kingston, Mass. found the back of the net twice.
After leading his team to a share of the 2019 MASCAC Regular Season title and the second seed in the tournament, Matt Correia was named the 2019 Champion’s Choice Men’s Soccer Coach of the Year by his peers.
Joining Nardizzi, Filetti and Loyd on the 2019 MASCAC First Team is Framingham State’s Gustavo Cassemiro, Steve Goll Kankam and Isaac De Souza, MCLA’s David Jamina, Salem State’s Lucas Amaral and Christopher Jimenez, Westfield State’s Jabari Smith and Worcester State’s Laszlo Dorogi.
Landing on the 2018 MASCAC Second Team is Bridgewater State’s Zachary Ells, Nate Morgado and Stanislaus Sokolov, Fitchburg State’s Nolan Brassard, Framingham State’s Bryant Nardizzi, Massachusetts Maritime’s Adam Crawford and Ben Paine, Salem State’s Damon Deocleciano and Nicholas Ramos and Worcester State’s Henri Guilmette, Prince Gyau and Ethan Melia.
