Anna Maria's Raposo, Plymouth State's Redick and Salem State's Greatorex Earn NEHWA DII/DIII Men's Ice Hockey All-Star Honors

Derek Raposo of Anna Maria, Will Redick of Plymouth State and Landyn Greatorex of Salem State earn New England Hockey Writers' Association (NEWHA) DII/DIII Men's Ice Hockey All-Star honors.
With a whopping 31 points in 27 games played this season, Raposo earned himself a spot on the MASCAC All-Conference First Team while also being name Defensive Player of the Year. Raposo was the backbone of the AMCATS team this season as he contributed 5 goals along with 26 assists, putting him sixth in the MASCAC for total points and first in assists. Raposo's performance this season would mark a career high in his four years with the AMCATS. He finished his career with 96 games played and 74 points.
Named to the All-MASCAC First Team three weeks ago, Redick led the league in goals, tallying 17. He finished third in the MASCAC with 34 points, while his 17 assists were tied for eight-most. Redick recorded at least one point in 18 of 22 games and now ranks third in program history in career points (123) and fifth in career goals (55). Redick helped lead the Panthers to their eighth straight MASCAC Regular Season title.
Named the 2024-25 MASCAC Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Year, Greatorex enjoyed his best season as a Viking, leading the MASCAC in total points with a career best (41), which was fourth highest in the nation, recording 16 goals and 25 assists. The forward finished in the top three in power play goals (6) and had three game-winning goals. He recorded points in 22-of-26 games this season, finishing the year with a 1.58 points per game average, which was top-10 in the NCAA.
The New England Hockey Writers Association will host its annual awards reception on Tuesday, April 22, at the Prince Restaurant in Saugus, MA. The event will include not only the New England Writers' honorees but will also serve to present the recipients of the Walter Brown Award and Joe Concannon Award, given by the Gridiron Club of Boston, to the top American-born hockey players in New England. In addition, the Eastern Massachusetts Ice Hockey Officials will present the J. Thom Lawler Award.
