MASCAC Men's Ice Hockey Weekly Awards 11/25
Collin Patterson of UMass Dartmouth, Matthew Hennessey of Anna Maria and Luca Rea of Plymouth State are the MASCAC Men's Ice Hockey Player, Goalie and Rookie of the Week honorees.
Player of the Week
Collin Patterson, UMass Dartmouth
Sophomore, Forward, Rockledge, Fla.
Patterson scored four goals - including his second straight hat trick - with two assists as UMass Dartmouth went 2-0 on the week. In a rematch of last year’s semifinals, the Corsairs posted a 5-4 OT win over Fitchburg State, powered by Patterson’s three goals which came in the first period (to tie) and two in the third (including the game-tying and go-ahead score on the power play) He also assisted on the game-winning goal in overtime. Then, in a 4-2 win at Framingham State, he assisted on the squad’s first goal, but went on to score the game-winning tally in the third period. He added 12 shots on the week and was a +2 overall, moving into the conference lead in goals with nine. |

Hennessey registered 53 saves with a 0.50 GAA, and .981 save percentage in a 2-0 week for the AMCATS. Finished with a clean sheet and 24 saves in the 4-0 win over Westfield State. Added 29 saves in the 5-1 victory over Rivier. |
Rookie of the Week |
Rea posted a goal and three assists on four shots, finishing as a +3, to help Plymouth State to a pair of wins. He notched the game-winning goal and added an assist to lead the Panthers over Framingham State on Thursday, then added two helpers in a 4-3 win at Salem State on Saturday. |
