MASCAC Men's Ice Hockey Weekly Awards 11/18
Plymouth State's Ethan Stuckless, Fitchburg State's Frederick Soderberg and Salem State's James Tatro are the MASCAC Men's Ice Hockey Player, Goalie and Rookie of the Week honorees.
Player of the Week
Ethan Stuckless, Plymouth State
Senior, Forward, Conception Bay South, Newfoundland.
Stuckless scored twice and added two assists as Plymouth State roared past Worcester State, 8-2, in the MASCAC opener on Friday. Stuckless ripped a shot off a faceoff win to give PSU a 2-0 lead in the first period. His second goal was almost an exact copy of the first, a one-timer off a faceoff win to extend the lead to 5-2 early in the third. He added assists on the Panthers’ fourth and sixth goals, finishing the night as a +4 rating. |
Goalie of the Week |
Soderberg totaled 63 saves with a 1.50 GAA and a save percentage of 95.5% in a 2-0 week for the Falcons. Stopped 31 shots in a 5-2 triumph over Assumption University on Tuesday before adding 32 saves in a 2-1 victory against Salem State on Thursday. |
Rookie of the Week |
Tatro totaled four points for in a 1-1 week for the Vikings, tallying an assist in a 2-1 setback to Fitchburg State while earning a hat-trick in a 6-2 victory over Rivier. |
