Gover of MCLA Repeats as MASCAC Men’s Golf Player of the Year, Headlines 2024 All-Conference Team
For the second straight year, Mat Gover of MCLA earned MASCAC Men’s Golf Player of the Year honors after finishing as the top overall finisher at the conference championship on Sunday, September 29. His performance also headlines this year’s All-Conference team.

Westfield, Mass. — For the second straight year, Mat Gover of MCLA earned MASCAC Men’s Golf Player of the Year honors after finishing as the top overall finisher at the conference championship on Sunday, September 29. His performance also headlines this year’s All-Conference team.
Gover, a sophomore from Atkinson, N.H., earned individual medalist honors, shooting a 71 on both day one and two for a total of 142 for the two day tournament. In the first round of play, he finished with five birdies while collecting four during the second round to help clinch the MASCAC individual title and guide the Trailblazers to a runner-up team finish.
Matthew Kumpulanian of Springfield took home the 2024 MASCAC Rookie of the Year accolades after finishing tied for sixth over the two day event. The sophomore from Wilbraham, Mass. shot a two day total of 158, which included a 77 and two birdies on Saturday.
After leading the Trailblazers to their second straight runner-up first at the MASCAC Men’s Golf Championship, Jeremiah Ketts of MCLA was named the BSN Sports Coach of the Year as voted on by his peers.
Joining Gover on the 2024 All-Conference First Team is Chase Manion of Marymount, Daniel DeLisio and Colin Richmond of Salem State and Jack Ryan of Worcester State.
On the Second Team with Kumpulanian are Paul Roeder of MCLA, Nititorn Chimjiw of Marymount, Ethan Doyle of Salem State, Amir Adonlino of Springfield.
