The 2023 MASCAC Men’s Golf Championship will tee off September 30-October 1 at the Meadows at Peabody Golf Course in Peabody, Mass. hosted by Salem State.

The 2023 MASCAC Men’s Golf Championship will tee off September 30-October 1 at the Meadows at Peabody Golf Course in Peabody, Mass. hosted by Salem State.
The championship is a two day, 36-hole stroke play tournament. There will be five teams competing- MCLA, Salem State University, Springfield College, Westfield State University and Worcester State University. The first group will tee off at 12 pm on September 30 and then October 1, the pairings will begin at 12:30 pm.
During the 2022 Championship, Salem State won their second straight team championship with a two-day total of 628 over Springfield College who finished second at 632.
Salem State senior Brian Cannata took home medalist honors, firing a two-over-par round of 73 on day one, and finishing with a total score of 145. For his efforts, Cannata was named MASCAC Player of the Year. Aidan McBride of Springfield College finished six strokes back and was runner-up (151), while Westfield State’s Brandon Smith was right on his heels in third place (153).
New England College freshman Graham Hassan carded a two-day total of 169, earning MASCAC Rookie of the Year, honors, while Salem State head coach James O’Reilly was named BSN Sports Coach of the Year.
