2022 MASCAC Men's Golf Championship Set for October 2-3 at Shennecossett Golf Course
The 2022 MASCAC Men's Golf Championship will tee off on October 2-3 at Shennecossett Golf Course in Groton, Conn. hosted by Mitchell College.
The 2022 MASCAC Men's Golf Championship will tee off on October 2-3 at Shennecossett Golf Course in Groton, Conn. hosted by Mitchell College.
The championship is a two day, 36-hole stroke play tournament. There will be eight teams competing- Eastern Nazarene College, MCLA, Mitchell College, New England College, Salem State University, Springfield College, Westfield State University and Worcester State University. The first group will tee off at 11 am on October 2 and then October 3, the pairings will begin at 9 am.
During the Fall 2021 Championship, Salem State claimed the team championship with a two-day total of 467 easily outpaced Springfield College who finished solo second at 482. Mitchell College (484) and Westfield State (493) were third and fourth respectively.
Viking Ethan Doyle took home medalist honors rallying with a three under par round of 71 today to hold off teammate Brian Cannata by four shots. Doyle's two day total was 111 (E). For his efforts, he was named the MASCAC Player and Rookie of the Year.
