After leading the Owls to the MASCAC Men's Basketball Tournament title, Lid Moreland and Kenneth Rogers Jr. of Westfield State take home the MASCAC Men's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week honors.

Moreland was named the MASCAC Tournament MVP after commanding the Owls offense, averaging 19 points, four steals, 3.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds on an efficient 55.6 percent shooting mark to help send Westfield State into the NCAA Tournament. Scored 20 points with five steals in the semifinal win over Framingham State. Added 18 points, seven rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks in the Owls’ 96-63 championship game win over Salem State. |
Rookie of the Week |
Rogers delivered a balanced 14 points, 5.5 rebounds, and four assists in a pair of conference tournament victories to help Westfield State punch their ticket into the NCAA Tournament, passing 500 points this season in his rookie campaign. Finished with 13 points, seven rebounds, three steals and three assists in the 93-63 title game win over Salem State. Weekly Report 3/3 |
