MASCAC Men's Basketball Weekly Awards 2/5
After their teams collected important conference wins last week, Precious Okoh of Bridgewater State and Juju Omot of Westfield State are the MASCAC Men's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week honorees.

Okoh averaged 26.5 points, three rebounds, three assists and 1.5 steals in a 2-0 week for the Bears while shooting an impressive 71.4% (20-28) from the floor, 64.3% (9-14) from three-point range and 100% (4-4) at the free throw line. Scored 23 points on 9 of 13 shooting, including 5-for-8 from behing the arc, and added three rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals in 22 minutes of action in the 90-60 win on the road over Framingham State. Poured in a season-high 30 points on 11 of 15 shooting, including 4-for-6 from three-point territory, to go along with three rebounds, two assists and a steal in an 89-71 conference victory at MCLA. |
Rookie of the Week |
Omot averaged 18.5 points, seven rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game in a 1-1 week for the Owls. Tallied 25 points, seven boards, five assists and three steals in the 86-65 road win at MCLA. Netted 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists in the 81-80 setback to Worcester State.
