MASCAC Men's Basketball Weekly Awards 2/12
For the second time this season, MCLA's Quentin Gittens and Westfield State's Juju Omot take home the MASCAC Men's Player and Rookie of the Week after winning all their league contests last week.

Gittens averaged 30.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, four assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks leading in a 2-0 week for the Trailblazers. Posted a double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds adding six assists, two blocks and a steal in a 73-72 road victory at Salem State where he sank a pair of free throws in the final seconds to secure the win. Followed that up with a career-high 36-point performance in a 67-59 at Framingham State adding five rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal leading the Trailblazers to the conference win. |

Rookie of the Week |
|
Omot netted 22 points, five rebounds and three assists as the Owls got past Fitchburg State, 97-70 on the road in Westfield’s only game of the week. Omot was 9-16 from the floor and 2-5 (40 percent) from three point range.
