Juju Omot of Westfield State and Zach Taylor of Bridgewater State take home the MASCAC Men's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week honors after helping their teams start league play with a 2-0 record last week.

Omot averaged 22 points, 4.5 rebounds and two assists while shooting 51.9 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the free throw line in a 2-0 week for the Owls. Registered 25 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal in the 99-86 win over MCLA on Saturday. Tallied 19 points, five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal in the 116-79 win over Framingham State. |

Taylor averaged 17.5 points and 1.5 assists while shooting 65% (13-20) from the floor and 90% (9-10) at the free throw line in a perfect 2-0 MASCAC week for the Bears. Notched 15 points, one rebounds, three assists and a steal in a 96-82 win on the road over Salem State, and a career-high 20 points to go along with a rebound in a 109-86 victory over Framingham State. |
