For the second straight week, MCLA's Quentin Gittens grabs the MASCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week while Juju Omot of Westfield State is Rookie of the Week after helping both their teams go 2-0 in MASCAC play.

Gittens averaged 29 points, 10 rebounds and three assists while shooting 65.6 percent from the field in a 2-0 week for the Trailblazers. Scored 25 points on 11-for-17 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds in an 82-60 MASCAC win over Worcester State and followed that up with a career-high 33 points on 10-for-15 shooting along with 13 rebounds and four assists in another 67-52 road conference win at Fitchburg State. |

Rookie of the Week |

Omot averaged 27.5 points, six rebounds, 2.5 steals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Owls. He scored a career-high 31 points, seven rebounds and three steals in the 99-67 win over Salem State, shooting 57 percent (12-21) from the floor and 50 percent (4-8) from three-point range. He added a game-high 24 points in the 110-59 win over Framingham State.
