The Westfield State duo of Brendon Hamilton and Kuany Teng earn the MASCAC Men's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week honors after winning the conference title over the weekend.

Hamilton earned Tournament MVP honors after leading the Owls to back-to-back MASCAC Tournament titles, averaging 10.5 points, 20 rebounds, two assists and a block in a 2-0 week. Tallied 16 points, 26 rebounds, two assists and a steal in the 80-66 championship game win over Worcester State. Scored five points with 14 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in the 80-58 semifinal win over Fitchburg State. Currently leads D3 in rebounds, averaging 14.8 per game. |
Rookie of the Week
Kuany Teng, Westfield State
Sophomore, Forward, Manchester, N.H.
Teng averaged 18.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, two assists and 1.5 steals in
helping the Owls to the MASCAC Tournament title. Had a 30-point performance,
shooting 6 of 8 from three-point range in the 80-58 semifinal win over Fitchburg
State. Added seven points, three rebounds and two assists in the title game.
