The Worcester State duo of Erik Bjorn and Ryan Rubenskas take home the MASCAC Men's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week honors after winning their two conference games last week.

| Bjorn had double-doubles in both wins for the Lancers this week, averaging 15 points and 12 rebounds while shooting 70% from the field (14-20). Finished with 12 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks in the 85-54 win over Fitchburg State, then poured in 18 points and grabbed another 12 rebounds in the 96-71 win over MCLA on Saturday. |
Rookie of the Week
Ryan Rubenskas, Worcester State
Sophomore, Forward/Center, Bridgewater, Mass.
Rubenskas averaged 13 points and 7.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the
Lancers. Was huge for the Lancers in their 85-54 win over Fitchburg State,
pouring in 18 points on 6-10 shooting and 2-2 from three-point land. He
also grabbed eight rebounds and had a pair of steals. Tallied eight points,
7.5 rebounds and two assists in the 96-71 win over MCLA.
