Worcester State's Cosenza Named To NFHCA Division III All-Star Squad

Worcester, Mass. -- Worcester State senior defender Kim Cosenza (Fitchburg, MA) has been named a National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) all-star and will play in the senior all-star game at the end of the month at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa. on Sunday, November 23. Cosenza is the first Worcester State student athlete in the field hockey programs history to be selected for the honor.

Cosenza and Alyssa Rowell, a defender at Keene State, were the two players selected by the NFHCA committee from the Little East Conference while eight of the 38 total selections were from the New England region.

Cosenza's is currently tied for second in the conference in defensive saves (7) with Fitchburg State's Saralyn Byler, while Rowell leads the conference with 12 this season. Cosenza, a sweeper, brings nine career goals and four assists with her to the all-star game.
