Fitchburg State's Morse Named NFHCA DIII Defensive Player of the Week
Fitchburg State senior goalkeeper Jenna Morse was recently named National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the NFHCA on Wednesday morning.
Fitchburg State senior goalkeeper Jenna Morse (Leominster, MA) was recently named National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the NFHCA on Wednesday morning. She was named MASCAC Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Morse collected her second career NFHCA DIII Defensive Player of the Week honor after posting totaling 22 saves with a 0.78 goals against average and a save percentage of 95.7 percent in the Green and Gold's 4-3 double overtime setback to Clark University on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State field hockey team (0-4, 0-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Saturday as they host Owls of Keene State University for a non-conference tilt, starting at 5:00PM.
