MASCAC Field Hockey Weekly Awards 9/9

After competing over the past week, Kaleigh Murphy of Westfield State along with Jenna Morse and Eliza Gallo Senka of Fitchburg State earn the MASCAC Field Hockey Offensive, Defensive and Rookie of the Week awards.

Offensive Player of the Week
Kaleigh Murphy, Westfield State
Junior, Forward, Pembroke, Mass.

Murphy netted a hat trick that included the game-winner as the Owls rallied from an early 1-0 deficit to defeat UMass-Dartmouth, 4-3 in their home opener on Saturday afternoon.

Defensive Player of the Week
Jenna Morse, Fitchburg State
Senior, Goalie, Leominster, Mass.

Morse totaled 22 saves with a 0.78 goals against average and a save percentage of 95.7 percent in the Falcons' 1-0 double overtime setback to Clark University on Saturday.

Rookie of the Week
Eliza Gallo Senka, Fitchburg State
Freshman, Forward, Fitchburg, Mass.

Senka totaled three points on one goal and one assist in two games for the Falcons, including her first collegiate tally in the 4-3 overtime setback to Simmons University on Wednesday evening.
