MASCAC Field Hockey Weekly Awards 10/15

Olivia Narkevicius of Fitchburg State and Natayla Morin of Worcester State are MASCAC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week while Jenna Morse and Isabella Corcoran of Fitchburg State are the Defensive and Rookie of the Week honorees.

Offensive Player of the Week
Olivia Narkevicius, Fitchburg State
Junior, Forward, Phillipston, Mass.

Narkevicius registered six points on three goals scored in a 2-0 week for the Falcons. Netted a hat trick in the Falcons’ 5-0 triumph over Bridgewater State on Saturday.

Morin recorded her first career hat-trick for six points in the Lancers’ 6-0 win over Salem State.

Defensive Player of the Week
Jenna Morse, Fitchburg State
Senior, Goalie, Leominster, Mass.

Morse totaled 13 saves with a 1.00 goals against average and a save percentage of 92.9 percent in 4-1 victory over the Bison of Nichols College on Wednesday evening.

Isabella Corcoran, Fitchburg State
Freshman, Forward, Braintree, Mass.

Corcoran posted a 0.00 goals against average and a save percentage of 1.000 with four saves in a 5-0 triumph over the Bears of Bridgewater State on Saturday to earn her first collegiate victory in the cage.
