Fitchburg State’s Morse Named NFHCA Defensive Player Of The Week
Fitchburg State field hockey senior Jenna Morse (Leominster, MA) was recently selected National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) DIII Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the NFHCA earlier this week.
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State field hockey senior Jenna Morse (Leominster, MA) was recently selected National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) DIII Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the NFHCA earlier this week.
Jenna collects her second weekly honor on the week after registering 30 saves with a 3.00 goals against average and an .833 save percentage in a 1-1 week for the Green and Gold. Morse turned aside 26 shots in a setback to Worcester State last Tuesday evening before adding four saves in a 2-1 triumph against Salem State on September 29th.
The Fitchburg State field hockey team (2-8, 1-4 MASCAC) returns to action on Wednesday as they host the Rams of Framingham State for a conference tilt, starting at 4:00PM.
