Bridgewater State's Fuller Named As New England Football Conference Co-Offensive Player Of The Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State College junior running back Justin Fuller has been named the New England Football Conference (NEFC) Tri-Offensive Player of the Week. Fuller shares the weekly honor along with Salve Regina quarterback Jeff St. Onge and Framingham State running back David Leach.
A native of Berkley, Massachusetts, Fuller rushed for a career-high 235 yards on 33 carries and tied a school record with five rushing touchdowns to lead Bridgewater State to a 40-14 Bogan Division victory over Maine Maritime Academy on Saturday.
Fuller equaled Steve Marshall's school mark of five touchdowns set in 1990 in a 48-21 win over Westfield. He scored on runs of one, four, 12, two and 38 yards, and averaged 7.1 yards per carry with no rushes for loss.
Through four games this season, Fuller leads the NEFC in rushing with 729 yards (182.2 per game) and 11 touchdowns. He is also sits a top the conference leaderboard in scoring with 66 points and is second in all-purpose yards (746) and sixth in total offense (729 yards).
Bridgewater is currently 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in the NEFC Bogan Division standings. The Bears travel to Fitchburg State College on Saturday for a key divisional matchup wit the Falcons. Kickoff is slated for 1:30 PM.
