Offensive Player of the Week |
Gonzalez had a phenomenal effort in the Corsairs 42-7 win over Fitchburg State on Saturday, recording 11 rushes for 116 yards over three quarters of play, averaging 10.5 yards per rush with two touchdowns. Both of his touchdowns came at the 1-yard line as he broke through for the Corsairs in the first and third quarters. His 116 yards were part of a season-high 300 team rushing yards on the day. |
Defensive Player of the Week |
Cataldi had a pair of interceptions and added five tackles (one solo) to help the Plymouth State defense pitch a shutout in a 35-0 win over Worcester State on Saturday. With the Panthers holding a 7-0 lead early in the second, Cataldi made an athletic catch to pick off the Lancers’ QB and give PSU prime field position that quickly led to Panthers’ touchdown. In the fourth quarter, he tipped a pass to himself before returning it 16 yards to secure the win. He added a pass breakup to his stat line. |
