Marvens Jeans and Javien Delgado of UMass Dartmouth, Seth Disalvo of Plymouth State and Bearett Henderson of Westfield State take home the first MASCAC Football Offensive, Defensive, Special Teams and Rookie of the Year honors of the 2022 season.

Offensive Player of the Week |
Jean ran for 254 yards (9.8 yards averaged) on 26 carries with a long of 40 yards in the Corsairs’ 35-14 win over Husson University. Accounted for 13 of the team’s first downs on the day, including setting up a touchdown in the next play early in the third to put the Corsairs’ up 21-7. |
Defensive Player of the Week |
Delgado had seven total tackles, including four solos, a forced and recovered fumble that resulted in a touchdown two plays later and a tackle for a loss of five yards in the Corsairs’ 35-14 win over Husson University. |
Special Teams Player of the Week |
Disalvo drilled a pair of field goals, was a perfect 2-for-2 in extra point attempts and added a forced fumble to help the Panthers to a 20-7 win over Castleton University on Saturday. He opened the scoring with a 20-yard field goal, then stripped the Spartans’ return man on the ensuing kickoff to set up a short field and PSU TD. He added a 32-yard field goal late in the first half.

Rookie of the Week |
Henderson came up with two huge scoring plays on defense and special teams in the Owls 30-29 setback to Nichols College. He first scooping and scoring on a school-record 90-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown that staked the Owls to a 20-3 halftime lead, then adding another long score by recovering a blocked PAT try and scampering the length of the field for a defensive 2-point conversion. He also made three tackles from his cornerback position.
