Offensive Player of the Week |
Cahoon earned Lee Harrington Most Valuable Player honors to lead the Bears to a 35-7 victory over Massachusetts Maritime in the 42nd Annual Cranberry Bowl. Completed 26 of 48 pass attempts for 319 yards and three touchdowns. Connected on scoring strikes of 23, five and nine yards. Broke the Bears’ single-season passing record as he finished the year with 2,308 yards through the air eclipsing the previous mark of 2,260 passing yards set by Danny Higgins in 2016. |
Defensive Player of the Week |
Silvia recorded six tackles, including a strip sack, intercepted a pass and returned a fumble for a touchdown in the Bears’ 35-7 victory over Massachusetts Maritime in the 42nd Annual Cranberry Bowl. His strip sack and interception both set up BSU scores. With the Bears trailing 7-0 midway through the second quarter, Silvia recovered a fumble and rumbled 44 yards for a touchdown to get the Bears on the board. His strip sack on the ensuing drive thwarted a Maritime scoring threat and set up a BSU touchdown. With the Bears leading 21-7 late in the third quarter, Silvia intercepted a pass and returned the interception 12 yards down to the MMA 26 to set up another Bears’ touchdown. |
Special Teams Player of the Week |
Fay averaged 41 yards on four punts with two inside the 20 and a perfect 5-for-5 in point after tries in the Bears’ 35-7 victory over Massachusetts Maritime in the 42nd Annual Cranberry Bowl.

Rookie of the Week |
Aviles-Santos was 14-for-20 (70 percent) with 117 yards and two touchdowns then added 75 yards and another score on the ground in the Corsairs’ 28-7 win over Plymouth State. Scored the first three touchdowns with a four yard run and threw passes of five and nine yards in the win.
