MASCAC Football Weekly Report 10/24
Plymouth State's Bryan Warren, Mass. Maritime's Kyle Rogers and George Lampros along with UMass Dartmouth's Marvens Jean are the MASCAC Football Offensive, Defensive, Special Teams and Rookie of the Week honorees.
Offensive Player of the Week |
Warren had four catches for 60 yards and three touchdowns as the Panthers topped Worcester State, 42-14. His first catch came early in the second quarter on a fourth-and-one from the Worcester State 15-yard line when he broke free down the middle on a play-action pass. Later in the frame he made an 11-yard grab on third-and-10 to extend a drive, then capped the drive with a 28-yard TD reception on a seam route and added a six-yard TD catch in the third quarter.

Defensive Player of the Week |
Rogers led all players in the Buccaneers’ 22-20 win over WestConn with seven tackles, five solo, and made his first interception of the season which he returned 28 yards that led to a field goal in the victory. |
Special Teams Player of the Week |
Lampros had a career day, converting all five of his field goal attempts, including a career-long 46 yarder that proved to be the game winner in the Buccaneers’ 22-20 win over WestConn. The 46 yarder beat his previous career long of 42 yards that he also kicked in this game. He also converted his lone PAT of the game. He also punted four times for 164 yards, an average of 40.8 yards per punt with one inside the opponents 20 yard line. |
Rookie of the Week |
Jean finished with 173 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown in the Corsairs’ 40-0 win over Fitchburg State. Had a long of 37 yards and ran it in from 33 yards out for the score.
