Player of the Week
Thomas LaSpada, Westfield State
Junior, C, West Hartford, Conn.

LaSpada crushed a walk-off two-run home run, and tallied three RBI and three runs scored while being a double shy of the cycle in the Owls’ 11-9 season-opening win over St. Lawrence from Don Bosco Prep. in Ramsey, N.J. on Saturday afternoon.

Pitcher of the Week
Hunter Dean, Mass. Maritime
Senior, Pitcher, Plymouth, Mass.

Dean made his first start of the season on Friday pitching a complete game four-hitter with 13 strikeouts and one walk in the Bucs’ 8-0 win over VTSU Lyndon. Dean had allowed just one hit through the first 6.1 innings in his 2025 debut.

Rookie of the Week
Chase Beach, Bridgewater State
Freshman, Pitcher, Orleans, Mass.

Beach tossed a scoreless inning of relief in his collegiate debut as the Bears opened the season with a 4-3 setback to UMass Boston. Retired all three batters he faced.
