MASCAC Baseball Weekly Awards 4/29
After collecting MASCAC wins last week, the Bridgewater State duo of Joshua Selander and Trey Yesu plus Fitchburg State's Joseph Stawski claim the MASCAC Baseball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week accolades.

Player of the Week |
Selander batted .563 (9-16) with three home runs, a pair of doubles, three walks, 10 runs and 14 RBI in a perfect 5-0 week for the Bears. Also posted a .571 on base percentage as well as an impressive 1.250 slugging percentage. Went 7-for-8 with three home runs, two doubles, two walks, nine runs and 12 RBI in a three-game MASCAC sweep of MCLA. Also drove in two runs with a pair of sacrifice flies and added a walk and a run in a 20-7 non-conference win over Lasell. Also flawlessly recorded 37 chances (35 put outs, two assists) at first base. |
Pitcher of the Week |
Yesu tossed a complete game two hit shutout with three walks and seven strikeouts in the Bears’ 22-0 MASCAC win over MCLA. Took a no-hitter into the seventh inning. |
Rookie of the Week |
Stawski pitched a complete game against the Owls last week, giving the Falcons the 3-2 win. In the seven-inning outing, he struck out three, allowed just six hits against an impressive Westfield lineup, and held them to just one earned run. |
