Framingham State’s Boyle, Westfield State’s Lapierre Earn 2024 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Player and Pitcher of the Year, Headline the Baseball All-Conference Team
Ryan Boyle of Framingham State and Ryan Lapierre of Westfield State have been named the 2024 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Player and Pitcher of the Year and headline the 2024 MASCAC All-Conference team as voted by the eight coaches from around the league.

Westfield, Mass. — Ryan Boyle of Framingham State and Ryan Lapierre of Westfield State have been named the 2024 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Player and Pitcher of the Year and headline the 2024 MASCAC All-Conference team as voted by the eight coaches from around the league.
The senior outfielder from Arlington, Mass., Boyle helped the Rams to a share of the MASCAC Regular Season title with a 14-7 league record. He ended the year with a .409 batting average, 17 doubles, three triples, a .619 slugging percentage and .471 on-base percentage, all in the top five of the MASCAC. He also collected 34 RBI, 27 runs scored, two home runs and 19 walks.
Taking home 2024 MASCAC Pitcher of the Year honors is Lapierre, a senior from Pittsfield, Mass. Lapierre was lights out for the Owls this season who never lost when he took the mound, going a perfect 9-0 over his 66.1 innings pitched with a league-leading 1.63 ERA and second-most strikeouts with 72 (9.77 per game). Opponents batted .229 against Lapierre while he registered a meager 1.15 WHIP. In his first start of the year, Lapierre was dominant in the win over St. Joseph (Conn.), throwing seven innings of two hit ball with seven strikeouts and no runs in the victory.
In his first season with the Vikings, Cam Fisher of Salem State takes home the 2024 MASCAC Rookie of the Year honors. The freshman from Burlington, Conn. helped the team to a 14-7 for not only a piece of the regular season title but the top seed in the MASCAC Tournament. On the hill, he collected a 6-1 mark which included two complete games and a shutout. He finished the season with a 2.16 ERA, 29 strikeouts (5.22 per game), 1.18 WHIP and .262 batting average against. Fisher earned Pitcher of the Week after he threw a complete game shutout, going nine innings, allowing five hits with five strikeouts, no earned runs and no walks in the Vikings’ 9-0 win over SUNY-Canton.
In only his second year at the helm and helping the Vikings to a regular season title, Andrew Gummow of Salem State was voted the 2024 BSN Sports Coach of the Year as selected by his peers.
Grabbing a spot on the MASCAC First Team All-Conference along with Boyle and Lapierre are Bridgewater State’s Scott Emerson, Kevin Lindsay and Jay Wladkowski, Fitchburg State’s Jacob Hurrell and Adam Koza, Mass. Maritime’s Brenden Baiardi, Hunter Dean, Michael Estrada, AJ Pietrafesa and Brett Velzis, Westfield State’s Sam Palmer and Worcester State’s Ben Smith.
Earning a spot on the MASCAC second team with Fisher are Bridgewater State’s Mathew Pigeon and Matthew Seavey, Fitchburg State’s Matthew Kelly, Framingham State’s Lucas Basile, Jeancarlos Espinal, Dane Frellick, Robert Johnston and Daniel Robichaud, Mass. Maritime’s Tucker Leslie, Salem State’s Brock Pare and Mark Smith and Westfield State’s Robison Guerrero Baez and Joe Espinola.
