Zach Sylvia and Hunter Dean of Massachusetts Maritime and Kevin Zarnoch Jr. of Worcester State take home the MASCAC Baseball Player, Rookie and Pitcher of the Week accolades after going undefeated during their conference slate.

Sylvia batted .474 (9-19) with two doubles, a triple, seven RBI, six runs scored, a walk, stolen base and .684 slugging percentage in a 5-0 week for the Buccaneers. Went 3-for-5 with three RBI in the 4-3 win over Bridgewater State. Went 3-for-6 with two doubles, a triple, three RBI and three runs scored in the doubleheader sweep of MCLA. Went 3-for-5 with two runs scored, RBI and a stolen base in the 7-3 win over the Trailblazers.

Pitcher of the Week |
Zarnoch Jr. went 2-0 over 14 innings with a 1.29 ERA, nine hits, three walks and 14 strikeouts. Tossed a complete game shutout in a 1-0 win over Framingham State, going nine innings and striking out 10 while allowing just three hits and one walk. He also picked up the win in an 11-6 victory over Fitchburg State, throwing five innings giving up just two runs and striking out four. |
Rookie of the Week |
Dean pitched a complete game shutout on Saturday in a 6-0 win over MCLA in conference to sweep the Trailblazers and pick up his fifth win on the mound. He allowed just three hits with four walks and seven strikeouts. |
