Austin Rachiele of MCLA along with Brodey Tinkham and Hunter Dean of Massachusetts Maritime earn the MASCAC Baseball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week accolades after leading their team to non-league wins last week.
Player of the Week |
Rachiele batted .714 (5-7) with seven runs scored, a RBI, two stolen bases, seven walks, .857 on-base percentage and 1.143 slugging percentage in a 2-1 week for the Trailblazers. Went 3-5 with three runs scored, a double, a triple in the 9-8 10 inning setback to RPI. Added two hits, four runs scored and six walks in the doubleheader sweep of Sage Colleges.

Tinkham earned his third victory of the season on the mound for the Buccaneers on Sunday in a 2-0 shutout win of Rivier. He threw a complete game allowing just two hits, he didn’t walk a batter and struck out five. |
Rookie of the Week |
Dean appeared in two games on the mound for the Buccaneers this week, pitched a total on 7.1 innings allowing one hit and walking two while striking out nine hitters. Against Clark he pitched 3.1 with two walks and five strikeouts. Against Rivier he pitched four innings, struck out four, allowed one hit and recorded his first collegiate win for the Bucs. |
