The Bridgewater State trio of Dan Saraceno, Matt Josselyn and Scott Emerson take home the MASCAC Baseball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week accolades after going 4-1 during their spring break trip to Florida.
Player of the Week |
Saraceno batted .400 (8-20) with a double, a home run, a walk, a stolen base, three runs and four RBI in a 4-1 week for the Bears in Myrtle Beach, Florida. Went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in a 13-10 win over Penn College of Technology; 1-for-3 with a walk, stolen base and run in a 17-2 setback to Montclair State; 2-for-4 with a double and a run in a 7-4 victory over Coast Guard Academy; and 3-for-8 with an RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Penn State Berks.

Josselyn tossed five shutout innings to pick up the win in a 7-4 victory over Coast Guard Academy in Myrtle Beach, Florida. Scattered three hits, did not issue a walk and struck out six. |
Rookie of the Week |
Emerson batted .409 (9-22) with a double, two walks, four stolen bases, four runs and two RBI in a 4-1 week for the Bears in Myrtle Beach, Florida. Went 2-for-5 with a double, a walk, three stolen bases, two runs and an RBI in a 13-10 win over Penn College of Technology; 3-for-5 with a run scored in a 17-2 setback to Montclair State University; 1-for-5 in a 7-4 win over Coast Guard Academy; and 3-for-7 with a walk, a stolen base, a run and an RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Penn State Berks. |
