Winter championships get underway on Sunday with the MASCAC Indoor Track and Field Championship hosted by Bridgewater State at Wheaton College in Norton, Mass.

The field events get the meet underway at 4:15 pm with the long jump while the track events kick off at 5:30 pm with the 5,000 meters. Throughout the day, awards will be given to the top individuals and relays in each gender with the top teams on each side awarded at the end of the day. 

At last year's indoor championship on the men's side, Bridgewater State finished with 263 team points while Westfield State came in second with 139. Rounding out the field were Fitchburg State in third with 99 and Worcester State in fourth with 35.

For the women, Westfield State finished with 194 to take home the indoor title while Bridgewater State was close behind in second with 169 points. Fitchburg State and Worcester State finished third and fourth with 87 and 61 points, respectively.
