55 MASCAC Student-Athletes Named to the 2022 Fall Sportsmanship Teams
55 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) student-athletes have been recognized for their outstanding sportsmanship as members of the 2022 Fall Sportsmanship Team.

WESTFIELD, Mass. – 55 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) student-athletes have been recognized for their outstanding sportsmanship as members of the 2022 Fall Sportsmanship Team.
The MASCAC Sportsmanship Team is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team, in every sport that best demonstrates the values of the MASCAC and its Sportsmanship Statement, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season.
“I want to applaud the 55 student-athletes from across the seven teams who were recognized on the 2022 Fall MASCAC Sportsmanship Team”, Commissioner Angela Baumann said. “These student-athletes exemplified exceptional sportsmanship values which are very important to our conference. We are honored to recognize these individuals for exhibiting these honorable traits.”
The sports that are represented on the fall team are men’s and women’s cross country, football, men’s golf, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball. A student-athlete from each institution is selected by their coach to be placed on the Sportsmanship Team.
Ryan Goldman of Bridgewater State, Cam Davis of Fitchburg State, Bruno Barbosa of Framingham State, Mike Bankowski of MCLA, Thomas Hayes of Massachusetts Maritime, Brandon Hager of Westfield State and Daniel Clark of Worcester State were named to the Sportsmanship Team from men’s cross country.
On this year’s Women’s Cross Country Sportsmanship Team are Maura Bruns of Bridgewater State, Courtney Brouillet of Fitchburg State, Amanda Bedard of Framingham State, Domenica Gomez of MCLA, Monica Martini of Massachusetts Maritime, Grace Poplawski of Westfield State and Jillian Bolster of Worcester State.
Kicking off the Football Sportsmanship Team are William Pointer of Bridgewater State, Matthew Aguirre of Fitchburg State, Noah Leonard of Framingham State, Michael Levine of Massachusetts Maritime, Sam Fleming of Plymouth State, Will Tuttle of UMass Dartmouth, Matt Forti of WestConn, Shane Clark of Westfield State and Logan Sylvester of Worcester State.
Men’s golf is next on the sportsmanship team list. Chris Jaskiewicz of Eastern Nazarene College, Shamus McLean of Mitchell College, Paul Roeder of MCLA, Timothy Carlson of New England, Ethan Doyle of Salem State, Jack Diefenderfer of Springfield College, Kyle Delsignore of Westfield State and Jack Ryan of Worcester State are this year’s honorees.
Kelly Powers of Bridgewater State, Kayleen McCormack of Fitchburg State, Abby Savard of Framingham State, Sarah Tomczyk of MCLA, Ally Reddish of Massachusetts Maritime, Angela Berry of Salem State, Marissa Jacob of Westfield State and Becca Cormier of Worcester State are the Women’s Soccer Sportsmanship Team honorees.
In men’s soccer, Dan Rickson of Bridgewater State, Collin Robson of Fitchburg State, Brian Sullivan of Framingham State, Tyler Cotting of MCLA, Liam McDonough of Massachusetts Maritime, Jason Casey of Salem State, Zach Soucy of Westfield State and Declan Ryder of Worcester State land on the Sportsmanship Team.
Closing out the 2022 Fall Sportsmanship squads is volleyball where Rachel Sebastian-Asbed of Bridgewater State, Meredith Taylor of Fitchburg State, Emily Flaherty of Framingham State, Anais Badio of MCLA, Kolby Barbieri of Massachusetts Maritime, Ella Speidel of Salem State, Sarah Bingham of Westfield State and Megan Bardis of Worcester State are this year’s honorees.
