Mass. Maritime SAAC SAAC Delivers Donations To Bourne Friends Pantry During Annual Holiday Food Drive
Members of the Buccaneer Student-Athlete Advisory Committee donated a large quantity of canned goods and other non-perishable items to the Bourne Friends Food Pantry on Thursday morning as part of the SAAC’s annual holiday food drive for the Upper Cape community.

Members of the Buccaneer Student-Athlete Advisory Committee donated a large quantity of canned goods and other non-perishable items to the Bourne Friends Food Pantry on Thursday morning as part of the SAAC’s annual holiday food drive for the Upper Cape community.
Massachusetts Maritime sophomore lacrosse standouts Erica Overstreet(Bridgewater, Mass./Bridgewater-Raynham) and Eli DiTullio (Marshfield, Mass./Marshfield) were joined by Head Volleyball Coach Melanie Appleman in delivering the donations collected during Thanksgiving week that will be distributed throughout the holiday season.
Established in 1992, the Bourne Friends Food Pantry is a non-profit organization, under the auspices of the Friends of Bourne Council on Aging, Inc. The mission of the Food Pantry is to assist individuals and families in the town of Bourne that do not have the resources to provide themselves or their families with adequate nutrition. The Pantry’s dedicated staff of 30+ volunteers, supervised by the Program Coordinator, is responsible for The Food Pantry’s weekly operation.
The Bourne Friends Food Pantry serves more than 400 families on the Upper Cape, and over 650 individuals receive food each month.
