Westfield State College is gunning for its 12th straight sweep of both the Men's & Women's MASCAC Outdoor Track & Field titles on Saturday afternoon when the Owls will host the 2009 New England Alliance Championships on the newly dedicated Jerry Gravel Track in Westfield, Mass. beginning at 11:00 a.m. EDT.

Head Coach Sean O'Brien guided Westfield State to a 109-point victory over runner-up Fitchburg State in the 2008 Men's Championships, and the Owl women posted 251 points to outdistance runner-up Bridgewater State's total of 86 points in last year's event.

Westfield State is also taking aim at its 11th straight New England Alliance crown on the men's side, as institutions from both the MASCAC and Little East Conference will once again compete for top Alliance honors on both sides.
