The Framingham State University women's basketball team closed a record setting season this evening when they suffered a 60-39 loss to host Scranton in an opening round game of the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament at the John Long Center.

Bridgewater State’s Grassi, Framingham State’s Carpenter Earn Co-MASCAC Players of the Year, Westfield State’s Williams Named MASCAC Defensive Player of the Year Headline 2023-24 Women’s Basketball All-Conference Team

Westfield, Mass. — Bridgewater State’s Kylie Grassi and Framingham State’s Gwendolyn Carpenter were named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Year while Westfield State’s Octaviana Williams was tabbed as Defensive Player of the Year and head up the 2023-24 All-Conference team, which is voted on by the seven coaches around the conference.

Framingham State Claims 2024 MASCAC Women's Basketball Tournament Title

The top-seeded Framingham State women's basketball team outscored Bridgewater State 22-9 in the fourth quarter en route to a 74-62 win to claim the 2024 MASCAC Championship in front of a standing room only crowd at Logan Gymnasium. The Rams capture their third title in four seasons and earn the MASCAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
