Dante Aviles-Santos of UMass Dartmouth, Evan Wilson of Plymouth State, Joey Naso of Bridgewater State and James Cassidy of Massachusetts Maritime take home MASCAC Football Offensive, Defensive, Special Teams and Rookie of the Week after helping their team to league wins.

Offensive Player of the Week |
Aviles-Santos was 20-for-25 (80 percent) with 333 yards and a career-high six touchdowns in the Corsairs’ 48-21 win over WestConn to go 3-0 in MASCAC play. Threw touchdown passes of 34, 10, 43, 15, four and 64 yards in the win to tie the school record, including the go-ahead score to break the 14-14 tie in the second quarter. |
Defensive Player of the Week |
Wilson led the Plymouth State defense with career bests of 13 tackles (11 solo stops) in the Panthers’ 14-9 win over Framingham State. Anchored the defensive unit that held the Rams to 1-for-3 in the red zone and made a goal line stand late in the fourth quarter to preserve the lead. Framingham State had first-and-goal from the PSU 9-yard line, and second-and-goal from the 6-yard line, but the Plymouth State defense forced three straight incomplete passes before the offense ran out the clock for the win. |
Special Teams Player of the Week |
Naso connected for a school-record 10 point extra points in the Bears’ 82-0 MASCAC victory over Fitchburg State. Connected on 10 of 11 point after tries.

Rookie of the Week |
Cassidy caught two passes in the game for 52 yards, including a 20-yard catch on 4th and 13 to keep a Buccaneer drive going and caught the fourth quarter go-ahead touchdown pass on a diving catch from 32 yards out in the 20-9 win over Westfield State. |
