MASCAC Volleyball Weekly Awards 11/6
Anna Szymanski of Framingham State along with the Westfield State duo of Michaela O'Connor and Lauren Carnes take home the MASCAC Volleyball Offensive, Defensive and Rookie of the Week after closing out the regular season with wins.

Szymanski averaged 10 kills and 10.5 digs per match in a 2-0 week for the Rams to secure the fourth seed in the tournament, including eight kills and nine digs in the 3-0 win over Salem State. Added 12 kills, 12 digs and three aces in the 3-0 win over Husson.

Defensive Player of the Week |
O'Connor registered 52 digs and three service aces in the 2-1 week for the Owls to claim the MASCAC Regular Season title. Came up with 29 digs to lead the Owls defensive efforts in a 3-0 win over Eastern Connecticut State, and added 18 more in a 3-0 win over Fitchburg State that clinched a perfect 7-0 mark in league play for the Owls. |
Rookie of the Week |
Carnes finished the 2-1 week with 31 kills, a .276 hitting percentage, 10 digs and three blocks to help the Owls to the MASCAC Regular Season title. Pounded out 12 kills and six digs as the Owls wrapped up the conference’s regular season title with a 3-0 win over Fitchburg State. She registered 12 kills and three blocks in a 3-0 win over Eastern Connecticut. |
