Bridgewater State's Courtney Leddy and Worcester State's Meghan Rich have been recognized by the Eastern College Athletic Conference as Division III New England Softball All-Stars.
In April both Leddy and Rich were named as Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference First Team All-Conference honorees.
Leddy, who garnered first team honors, batted .390 (46-118) with seven doubles, three triples, 25 runs scored and 23 RBI in 35 games for the Bears during the 2015 campaign. She also posted a .500 slugging percentage as well as a .421 on base percentage.
A native of Saugus, Massachusetts, Leddy led the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) in hits while ranking fourth in batting average, triples and total bases (59). She also finished fifth in the MASCAC in at bats and runs batted in as well as sixth in one base percentage, seventh in runs scored, eighth in sacrifice bunts (4) and tenth in both doubles and slugging percentage.
Rich, the MASCAC Pitcher of the Year, was posted a 15-3 record with 13 complete games and a 1.93 earned run average in 112.1 frames of work. She topped the conference in wins, was second in innings, tied for third in complete games, had the third lowest ERA and her 55 strikeouts were seventh overall.
Among single-season program leaders, Rich put up the second-best winning percentage in single-season history (.833) while tying for fifth with the fewest walks.
