891 Student-Athletes Earn Spot on 2022 MASCAC Winter/Spring All-Academic Team
A total of 891 student-athletes have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference with selection to the league’s 2022 Winter/Spring All-Academic Team that was released earlier today by Commissioner Angela Baumann.

MCLA Athletics Announces Multi-Year Plan, Including Hockey and Facility Upgrades
Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) Athletics Department announced a multi-year plan to enhance the College's athletics programming for years to come, including the return of men's ice hockey to North Adams along with the implementation of a women's ice hockey program. Plans also identify athletic facilities upgrades including replacement of the turf at Shewcraft Field, and a fundraising campaign to support the installation of turf at the baseball and softball fields.

29 MASCAC Student-Athletes Recognized on the 2022 Winter Sportsmanship Teams
29 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) student-athletes have been honored for their outstanding sportsmanship as members of the 2022 Winter Sportsmanship Team. The MASCAC Sportsmanship Team is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team, in every sport that best demonstrates the values of the MASCAC and its Sportsmanship Statement, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season.

Following the completion of the winter sports season, Westfield State has taken the lead in the 2021-22 Howard C. Smith Cup standings. The Smith Cup is awarded annually to the member institution which compiles the most points based on the placement of each of its programs competing in the league championship sports.
