Leah Hartwell, the head field hockey coach at Framingham State University will be running the 2015 Boston Marathon with the Boston Children's Hospital team.

737 MASCAC Student-Athletes Named to 2014 Fall All-Academic Team

A total of 737 student-athletes have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference with selection to the league’s Fall 2014 All-Academic Team that was released earlier today by Commissioner Angela Baumann.

Westfield State Leads 2014-15 Howard C. Smith Cup Standings

After the conclusion of the fall regular season, Westfield State has the lead in the first round of the Howard C. Smith Cup standings. The Smith Cup is awarded annually to the member institution which compiles the most points based on the placement of each of its programs competing in the 15 league championship sports.

Bridgewater State, Massachusetts Maritime SAAC's To Team Up For Military Appreciation Day Event During Cranberry Bowl Saturday

The Massachusetts Maritime and Bridgewater State Student-Athlete Advisory Committees will team up on Saturday afternoon during the 36th Annual Cranberry Bowl Presented By Ocean Spray for a day-long celebration of veterans and all current servicemen and women which will also serve as a fundraising event for the Pat Tillman Foundation.

Worcester State Field Hockey, Women's Basketball Participate In Community Reading Day

On Friday, October 3, several members of the women’s basketball and field hockey team participated in a community reading day at the Tatnuck Magnet School. The event held was a kick-off to the “20 Minutes, Every Child, Every Day” campaign, which is a part of a larger City of Worcester literacy campaign started last year called “Worcester, The City That Reads.”

Junior Julie O'Rourke has been tabbed Little East Conference Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week for collecting 10 points in a 2-0 week for Worcester State.

Fitchburg State goalie Lucy Holewa and Westfield State forward Holly Brouillette were named the Little East goalkeeper and offensive player of the week, respectively.
