Fitchburg State's Holewa, Westfield State's Brouillette Named Little East Field Hockey Weekly Award Winners

Fitchburg State goalie Lucy Holewa and Westfield State forward Holly Brouillette were named the Little East goalkeeper and offensive player of the week, respectively.
The senior goaltender collects her first weekly honor of the season after stopping all nine of the shots she faced as the Falcons defeated the Wildcats of Johnson and Wales University. 1-0 (2-1) in penalty shots on Thursday evening, en-route to collecting her first shutout of the season. She currently owns a perfect 0.00 goals against average and 1.000 save percentage with both marks tied for top in the league.
The sophomore forward helped ensure a fast start to the season for the Owls as she netted three goals in a season-opening 8-1 win over Rivier College, and then totaled a goal and an assist as Westfield defeated Western New England 5-0 on Saturday. The Owls are unbeaten at 2-0, and Brouillette's nine points and four goals currently top the conference
Both squad return to the field Saturday with Fitchburg State hosting Keene State while Westfield State travels to Eastern Connecticut.
