MASCAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Weekly Awards 1/22
Kiara Abrantes of Bridgewater State, Makany Camara of Fitchburg State and Jadah Stokes of Worcester State earn the MASCAC Women's Indoor Track and Field weekly awards after competing over the weekend.

Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week |
Abrantes won the meet title in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.15 seconds this past weekend at the Massasoit Classic hosted by Springfield College. Also finished fourth in the finals of the 60-meter dash with a personal-best time of 7.98 seconds and ran a leg on the Bears’ fourth place 4x400-meter relay (4:30.69). Currently ranks 25th in all of Division III in the 400 and fourth in the East Region. Also ninth in the East Region in the 60. |
Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week |
Camara finished second overall in the high jump with a personal best DIII New England qualifying mark of 1.66 meters, while adding a 17th place time of 29.27 seconds in the 200 meter for the Falcons at the 2024 Branwen Smith-King Invitational, hosted by Tufts University on Saturday. Currently ranked 10th nationally in the event. |
Women's Indoor Rookie of the Week |
Stokes grabbed the top spot in the shot put with a mark of 11.88m. Her success continued in the weight throw, where she finished fifth with a mark of 12.79m at the Massasoit Classic. |
