GENEVA, Ohio – Bridgewater State University graduate student Jayci Andrews garnered All-America honors in both the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles on Saturday afternoon at the 2022 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

Andrews posted a season-best time of 13.88 seconds to place fifth in the finals of the 100 hurdles. The Plymouth, Massachusetts product recorded a time of 1:00.61 in the finals of the 400 hurdles to also place fifth in the event.

The All-America performances marked the fifth and sixth of Andrews' collegiate career. She captured the national title in both the 60-meter hurdles and 100 hurdles in 2019, placed fourth in the 400 hurdles in 2019, and place second in the 100 hurdles in 2018.

Birgen Nelson of Gustavus Adolphus College won the national title in the 100 hurdles with a time of 13.44 seconds, while Kelie Sealock (13.75) of Bethel University, Laura Mathews (13.82) of Stevens Institute of Technology and Julia Babinec (13.83) of North Central College rounded out the top four place winners.

Simone Wilson of Concordia University Chicago won the national title in the 400 hurdles with a time of 58.98 seconds, while Nelson (59.22), Gwen Shepardson (59.74) of SUNY Geneseo and Emma Lawrence (1:00.29) of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse rounded out the top four place winners.

Bridgewater State finished with 13 points in the team standings as the Bears are currently tied for 17th place at the national championship meet. Andrews accounted for eight of the 13 points while BSU junior Abbi Peterson (Watertown, Mass.) notched five points by placing fourth in the high jump on Friday.
