MASCAC Women's Basketball Weekly Report 11/14
Kylie Grassi of Bridgewater State and Zaylee Ramos of MCLA earn the first MASCAC Women's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week accolades after they helped their team to season-opening victories over the past week.

Grassi averaged 18 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.7 steals and a block in a 3-0 week for the Bears. Also shot 54.5% (18-33) from the floor, 37.5% (3-8) from behind the arc and 71.4% (15-21) at the free throw line. Tallied 25 points, eight rebounds, five assists, a steal and two blocks in a 70-69 season opening win over Brandeis; 12 points, four rebounds, four assists, four steals and a block in a 63-51 victory at Suffolk; and 17 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals in a 78-53 triumph at Regis. |
Rookie of the Week |
Ramos averaged 21.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals, shooting 38.5% from the three point line, helping MCLA to a 2-1 week. Had 24 points and eight rebounds in the 73-60 road win at Lesley. Had 20 points and eight rebounds in the 75-69 setback to Elms. Had a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds in a the 66-58 win over UMPI. |
