MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards 5/3
After winning the MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship, Bridgewater State swept the weekly awards brought to you by GEICO. Jacob DeAndrade, Exondus Barnes, and Thomas Barinelli won Track Athlete, Field Athlete, and Rookie of the Week.

DeAndrade captured top honors in both the 100-meter dash (10.91) and 200-meter dash (22.17) to lead the Bears to their third straight MASCAC Outdoor Track & Field title. Also ran a leg on the MASCAC champion 4x100-meter relay team which posted a season-best time of 43.19 seconds. |
Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week |
Barnes won a pair of individual titles in the long jump and the high jump to help lead the Bears to their third straight MASCAC Outdoor Track & Field title. Posted a career-best mark of 22 feet, 11.75 inches (7.00m) in the long jump, and leaped six feet, 4.25 inches (1.94) in the high jump. |
Men's Outdoor Rookie of the Week |
Barinelli was the Bears' top scorer at the MASCAC Championships as he recorded 26 team points. Finished second in the 110-meter hurdles (16.48) and third in the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.05), long jump (21'9"/6.63m) and high jump (6'0.75"/1.85m) as he helped the Bears capture the program's third straight MASCAC Outdoor Track & Field title. |
