MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards 3/29
The Bridgewater State duo of Jacob DeAndrade and Exondus Barnes are the first MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field weekly awards of the 2021 season brought to you by GEICO.

Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week |
DeAndrade placed first in the 100-meter dash and tied the school record in the event with a time of 10.74 seconds at the season-opening BSU Bears Invitational. Also placed second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.06 seconds. Currently ranks third in all of Division III in the 100 and 12th in the 200. |
Men's Outdoor Field Athlete and Rookie of the Week |
Barnes captured top honors in both the high jump and the long jump at the season-opening BSU Bears Invitational. Broke the school outdoor record in the high jump with a height of 1.98m (6'6") as he eclipsed the previous standard of six feet, five inches set by Mike Barrows in 1984. Won the long jump with a leap of 6.37m (20' 10.75"). Currently ranks fifth in all of Division III in the high jump. |
