Player of the Week
Payton Schaly, Plymouth State
Sophomore, Forward, Orillia, Ontario
Schaly scored the game-winning goal, his fourth point of the MASCAC Tournament, to help the Panthers top Fitchburg State, 3-0, for a fifth straight tournament title on Saturday. Schaly lit the lamp with a blast from the high slot during a power play late in the opening period and the Panthers would never look back to secure the title. Schaly was named Tournament MVP after scoring the game winner in both PSU games. |
Goalie of the Week |
Andersson displayed excellent rebound control to post a 13-save shutout and help lift Plymouth State to a 3-0 win over Fitchburg State in the championship game of the MASCAC Tournament to win a fifth straight tournament crown. Andersson was forced to make just three saves in each of the first two periods, before the Falcons’ attack put up seven shots in the final stanza. |
Rookie of the Week |
Sulonen anchored a dominant PSU defense to help the Panthers to a 3-0 win over Fitchburg State to win the MASCAC Tournament title for a fifth straight time. Sulonen and the Panthers clogged the passing lanes, while the defenseman made several plays to break up scoring chances and disrupt the Fitchburg State offense, limiting the Falcons to just three shots in each of the first two periods. |
