MASCAC Football Weekly Awards 11/12
The Westfield State duo of Jordan Smith and Cooper Harvey along with Jared Martino of Framingham State take home the MASCAC Football Offensive, Special Teams, Rookie and Defensive Player of the Week honors after leading their team to final regular season wins yesterday.

Offensive Player of the Week |
Smith ran for 223 yards and a school-record five rushing touchdowns as the Owls defeated Fitchburg State, 49-0 to close out the 2023 season. Smith had touchdown runs of 1, 40, 9, 30, and 4-yards on the afternoon. Smith did his damage today on 25 carries, gaining 8.92 yards per carry, also a school single game record for a player with more than 20 carries. His day enabled him to crack the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season. He finishes the year with 1,076 yards and 10 TDs. |
Defensive Player of the Week |
Martino registered 13 tackles (six solo), 2.5 sacks for a loss of 23 yards, three tackles for a loss of 25 yards and an interception returned 35 yards for a touchdown in the Rams' 41-6 win over Worcester State. Currently fifth nationally in sacks with 12 sacks on the year. |
Special Teams Player of the Week |
Harvey was perfect on the day, drilling all seven point-after tries in the Owls' 49-0 win over Fitchburg State. |
